In 2014, the League of American Bicyclists recognized Microgrid Energy with a Silver Bicycle Friendly Business (BFBSM) award, joining more than 800 visionary businesses from across the country.
With the announcement of 150 new and renewing BFBs today in 39 states and Washington, D.C., Microgrid Energy joins a cutting-edge group of more than 800 local businesses, government agencies and Fortune 500 companies across the United States that are transforming the American workplace. With the Announcement Microgrid Energy becomes one of only 9 business in St. Louis to receive recognition from The League, and one of only 19 Bicycling Friendly Business’s recognized in the state of Missouri.

By being a Bicycling Friendly Business Microgrid Energy has equipped its employee’s with tools to be the environmental impact in their travel, which they seek in their work. “Being a Bicycling Friendly Business is just one facet in our efforts to be environmental stewards, and as a B-Corp Microgrid has an entire committee dedicated to measuring and improving the metrics associated with our businesses’ impact,” said Taylor March director of Alternative Transportation Efforts at Microgrid. Microgrid Energy encourages bicycling as an easy alternative for transportation and provides amenities such as indoor bike parking and incentives such as free transit passes.
